  2. arXiv.org - Open access to 1,534,743 e-prints in the fields of physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance, statistics, electrical engineering and systems science, and economics. Submissions to arXiv should conform to Cornell University academic standards. arXiv is owned and operated by Cornell University, a private not-for-profit educational institution. arXiv is funded by Cornell University, the Simons Foundation and by the member institutions.
  3. OnlineSchools.org - Presents a review of the most reputable online journal websites both open access and subscription-based journals. Under Engineering subject, open access journals are:
    • Advances in Chemical Engineering and Science (ACES) - This journal features articles that address molecular assembly, nanotechnology, and other concerns related to the development, production, and evaluation of various chemicals. The archive contains quarterly volumes dating back to 2011, as well as special issues devoted to supramolecular chemistry, advances in environmental chemistry, and carbon chemicals
    • Circuits and Systems - Established in 2010, this journal focuses on two of the most fundamental aspects of modern technology as they relate to computer-aided design (CAD), nanoelectronics, telemedicine, and other disciplines; short reports and literature reviews are also published.
    • Journal of Bioengineering & Biomedical Science - This journal specializes in reports and reviews that discuss disease pathology, medical treatments, and health management. The archive contains quarterly issues dating back to 2011, as well as special volumes that focus on topics like regenerative medicine and emerging technologies in the fields of bioengineering and rehabilitative therapy.
    • The Open Electrical & Electronic Engineering Journal - The articles, reviews, and editorials published in this journal cover a wide swath of topics associated with electrical and electronic engineering. Recent issues have explored x-ray detection, cooperative communication systems, network coupling, and duty cycle division multiplexing; in addition, a special issue released in 2013 was devoted to trends in signal processing and electronics engineering.
    • The Open Journal of Mechanical Engineering - Published since 2007, this journal explores various problems related to mechanical engineering, such as industrial carbon emission output, longitudinal residual stress during friction stir welding, and stress and fatigue of vehicular engine components.
    • Other subject areas covered are Business, Computer Science, Education and Psychology.

  4. SpringerOpen Journals - SpringerOpen, launched in June 2010, includes Springer’s portfolio of 200+ peer-reviewed fully open access journals across all areas of science.

SpringerOpen journals are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication. They are subject to high-level peer review, author and production services ensuring quality and reliability of the work. Authors publishing with SpringerOpen retain the copyright to their work, licensing it under a Creative Commons license. To cover the cost of the publication process, all SpringerOpen journals and books charge an open access fee. To support the individual researchers in covering these costs, institutions can join our Open Access Membership Program which we offer together with BioMed Central. We currently have over 400 members in more than 45 countries.
  5. Wiley Open Access - A program of fully open access journals. All research articles published in Wiley Open Access journals are immediately freely available to read, download and share. The fully open access journals are published in collaboration with authoritative journals and societies as well as supported by internationally renowned editorial board members.
  6. Open Science Directory - Search tool for open access journals and journals in special programs for developing countries.
    • About 13000 scientific journals are now available in the ‘Open Science Directory’. When all the special program journals will be included, the Open Science Directory will contain more than 20000 titles.
    • Open Science Directory contains collections of Open Access Journals (full – partly) and journals in the special programs (Hinari, Agora). Other programs will be added in the near future: OARE, INASP-PERI, eIFL, eJDS.
Subject: General Works; History; Geography and Recreation; Social Sciences; Political Sciences; Law; Agriculture; Fine Arts; Education; Science and Technology
  7. Scientific Journals International - SJI publishes peer-reviewed open-access journals for all disciplines. They have managed to form a prestigious Editorial and Advisory Board that are composed of scholars coming from Cambridge, Harvard, Princeton, Yale and other leading universities from around the world.
  8. Directory of Open Access Journals – This site covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific & scholarly journals. They cover all subjects & languages.
