The Collection

Resources on Architecture and Industrial Design are housed at the Architecture Library located at the fourth floor of South Building. The collection is composed of 4,000 books and 1000 feasibility studies.

Loan Policies

Loan-out

  • A maximum of 5 AR-ID books may be checked out at a time.
  • Checked-out books are good for 1 week
  • Printed feasibility studies are for room-use only.

Renewal

  • AR-ID books are renewable for another 2 weeks, except those with hold request
  • Renewal may be done thru the following:

Book Scanning Service

The Library provides scanned copies of book chapter through the Book Scanning Service. To request, patrons will search for a Book Title from the Library OPAC. Send the Book Title, Author and Copyright Year to libcirculation@mapua.edu.ph.


Hold Request

Bona fide students, faculty and non-teaching employees of the University, may place a hold to either currently checked-out or available books. The requester will be notified as soon as the book is available for pick-up.


Book Returns

Library patrons have 3 options to return borrowed books:

  • Lending Desk: Returning the books on the AR Library lending desk
  • Book drop-off: borrowers have the option to drop-off the book/s on the campus entrance. Fillout this form to notify us of your intent to return your borrowed book: https://bit.ly/3eso1tQ-BookReturns
  • Via Courier: borrowers may return the borrowed books via courier. The service is available during Library Hours. Book borrowers will initiate booking with the courier service and will shoulder payments.
